Default Wheel Bearings

Are the 84-96 Wheel Bearings all the same? A guy is selling 4 new ones(fronts and rears) for $150 locally. This sounds like a good deal, is there something I am missing? I have a 94 with ABS.

The rears are the same but the fronts can be different. For a 94 they need to have a plug on the inside of the bearing assy. for the ASR. Good deal if they're the right ones. Robert

These are brand new from for an 86. So the fronts are not a match but rears will work. Thanks

This is a good deal. Buy all 4 and resell the two front on ebay or the forum for what you paid for all 4 and someone else will get a good deal as well

Wow, wait a minute fellas! What brand are these bearings? Where are they made? Are they white box specials? I would want to know this information before I plunked down the cash, all bearings are not created equal. You may find yourself doing this job over again in a pretty short amount of time. Timken, Torrington-Fafner and NSK are all quality manufacturers. Be careful!

Adam.

Also the Advance Nationals are not a good purchase.
I upgraded (yeah, right) to the new stuff on the 90. Been thru 3 sets of hub bearings, 2 sets of rotors, 1 set of ABS sensors. No grease in the bearings. Went back to Delco.
Backs are now going bad

Advance basically said tuff sh**. We're not paying for anything other than giving you your money back.

My opinion of advance is in the ditch, along with a bunch of their parts.

I've got pics.

Default bearings

I had a friend that needed to change his front wheel bearings in his 4X4 S-10 blazer, so I volunteered to help.
when we got the bearing out, to my amazement, it was the same as the rear corvette bearings, and they were $97.00 each!!!
they looked the same, don't know if the actual bearing was identical, but we measured it after we put his together, and voila!!! same dimensions.
maybe the bearings you're getting are S-10 bearings

This is the link:

I only live about 10 miles from this guy. If someone wants to buy the fronts, I will buy the rears. Tell me to look for to determine a quality bearing. I will go check it out and report back.
