Default Manual short throw shifter

Thinking of getting a short throw shifter. Just wanted to if it's worth it and if so which is the better B&M or Hurst. Thanks in advanced for opinions and suggestions.

I have the B&M short shifter, if you like very short throws, including side to side...and a very much incresed effort for shifting, go with the B&M. I have heard the Hurst is better than the stock one, but nothing like the B&M.

I suggest finding someone that has the B&M installed and trying it before you install it. Oh and installing the shifter is not alot of fun. I am going to be taking the B&M out and putting in the Hurst.

The Hurst has been one of the best mods I have done. I think the B&M would have been too too radical for me. It depends on how short you want the throws to be, just remember the shift effort goes up as the throws get shorter.

I have the Hurst. It is great. Makes the car the way it should be! Quite the pain in the butt to install. The guy who designed it used to be on here. I believe his name is Chris. Darn.....I can't remember. He used to give Forum guys a discount. Someone must know him.

I just finished installing a hurst in mine and love it .It has a nice solid feel, like the bolt on a good bolt action rifle.Big improvement over the stock shifter and is a little cheaper than the B&M.Install, ation was a real pain, took me a little over 6 hrs,but was worth it.

Both units are way better than stock. I have the Hurst but try both before buying. Both are about the same as far as install but I read that the B&M may be a bit harder to install. You really can't go wrong with either of these.

B/M ripper in my car. I'm kindof mixed on the feelings here....was a pain in the azz to get used to when I powershift and for a daily driver its not hard to get used to. I think the B/M is more of a roadrace/autocross shifter rather a Hurst is more for 1/4 fun.
