you may not belive this but i bought some stuff from auto zone works great thats not the unbeliveable part, i will bet my life on this its straight diesel fuel. so if you got any of that stuff handy try that.

go to autozone and buy some bug and tar remover. the cans usually say they are safe to use on clear coats and such. But I always make sure re-wax any spot I use the stuff on.

I have used laquer thinner with good results. Just don't use it on laquer paint!!! It also has worked well for getting rid of paint from other peoples doors when they get carried away slamming them open. :mad

Would brake cleaner (brake kleen) work?
I've used WD-40 before with good results. I also have a can of grease/tar remover that I got at Home Depot. It gets the really nasty stuff off...

YEE GADS DON'T USE BRAKE FLUID THAT WILL REMOVE THE PAINT :nono:
Stuff that you buy in the store is kerosene soak a rag with a little kerosene or fuel oil diesel fuel will work. Wash off with soap and water then wax. :cool:
