Exhaust Resonance Gone. . .

Exhaust Resonance Gone. . .
So here's what I learned about exhaust resonance in my C4. . .for any of you struggling with this. . .
I had custom muffler eliminators fabricated for my car. Love the sound. . .but. . .at about 1100-1400 RPM I got a wierd and quite annoying resonance.
I finally figured out that the exhaust hangers were contacting the rear frame crossmember when the exhaust system got hot. Yep, the darn system was growing a quarter inch or more.
Got up there and trimmed the exhaust hangers back so they can't possibly touch the frame and the resonance is gone. Just like that.

I can believe that is part of the problem... I really can...
my Corsa system has a resonator/center section/center muffler.
It's a pipe within a pipe and the join between the pipe within pipe area broke! The resonance that set up was INSANE.
