Default Removing the resonator question?

Since I have my transmission out I am doing all kinds of routine maintenance. And since the exhaust is off I am thinking about getting rid of the resonator.

What effect does removing the resonator have good and bad?

I think it' GREAT myself more sound . Not knowing what year you might use an x-pipe. We took everything off NO AIR, NO EGR, NO CATS, 3" hjeaders and not much for mufflers. Godd Luck Have FUN!! wro87

When I removed mine it caused bad resonance between certain RPM's, got on my nerves after a while. I don't think there's any performance gain from it.

Default resonator removal

Removing resonators will give a seat of pants boost and some drone at various rpms. Be sure and put an "X" or "H" pipe in. This will help hp and cut down on the droning. I wasted a lot of time, effort and money on my 94 LT1 redoing the exhaust before I was happy with it. You may wish to just remove the mufflers first to see if you like the sound that way.

Just my nickels worth.
