So is 88 a good year for C4s?
Sounds like hes taken good care of it...Didnt keep it that long because it was a problem car...I suspect some bushings may have been replaced by now, wheel bearings too. Double check though.
Its a crapshoot either way. Ive seen C4s with low miles that were sunbeaten and hammered, high milers that were clean and had all the little stuff replaced already that were great cars on the cheap because people are psyched out by the odometer and vice versa.
4k or less for a car with a fresh motor and good cosmetics...Drives nice and tight. Go for it .
Personally-Low mile car, 5 years old or less Id ALWAYS choose over a high miler. On a car thats OLD period, I dont think it has that much of a differnence if it was maintained well. RUbber, seals, weatherstrip etc deteriorates and ages wether you drive it or not.
