exhaust questions and mod help
hey im pretty new to this forum.
I am in the process of trying to sell my vette.
however if i keep it i want to start upgrading some components.
Back to the exhaust question.
It seems to me that the Y pipe setup is very restrictive and i havent seen a true dual exhuast available for the C4. You guys have any opinions on exhaust for best results and would a custom true dual benefit in anyway????
Also what are some other small mods that i can do for some gains???

If you're not majorly upgrading the engine, a pre-made dual system will definitely help your car breathe better. CorvetteCentral has a true dual with H pipe system that comes with Magnaflows and it bolts right up to the manifolds and existing hangers. I really liked the tone. If you're doing anything serious to the engine, however, you may find the stock 2 1/4 piping to be too restrictive. I haven't found any pre-bent 3" dual systems, so I'm getting mine custom bent. Good luck, and it definitely sounds better without the cats.

Mid America also make a dual system that bolts up with out too much trouble with or without mufflers. For real ponies go with long tube headers, depending on the catcops where you live, you might do away with most of the emissions and no cause any drievabilty problems.
