Is it possible to install a 93-96 Corvette Keyless entry system in another car? Is the keyless entry its own separate unit or is it integrated with the rest of the car? I was thinking of installing an aftermarket system in my camaro but having a key ring full of key fobs doesn't sound so good. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to walk to any of your cars and have them all unlock without a fob for each? Anyone have any wiring diagrams or info?

It is integrated with the wiring in the car. There are antenna's in the doors and rear hatch area. The power door locks are wired through the PKE receiver box. When I had my PKE receiver out for troubleshooting the dash was blank when i turned the key on, I did not try to start the engine.

How do you remove the PKE receiver? Do you really need to remove the dash pad as instructed in the FSM or can you get to it by removing the radio?

You cannot put it into a non vette, wiring is to complex and tied into to many other systems.

You have to remove the dashpad, though if you do a search I think someone tried and you can IM them to see if they actually succeeded.

Thanks but I can't seem to find that thread. If anyone knows how to remove the pke receiver without removing the dashpad, I'd appreciate the input.

It's true that the wiring would be a nightmare but also trying this would be an effort in futility, the PKE reciever needs to talk to the CCM and pretty much you program the PKE reciever for the fobs via the CCM.
