Default Unknown Hole in Water Pump.

Hi all. This is my first C4 post, as I'm a C3 owner. The engine I'm building uses a serp system and water pump from a '92 Z28, so it's parts would put it your realm more than mine. I would appreciate it if a few of you would look over this post from today, and tell me what you think. Thanks so much.

Id say weep hole as well, there is 2 weep holes on those water pumps, one top, one bottom.

Hard to say since its such a big looking hole, but its in the right place for the top weep hole anyway. When you fill it up and start the engine, if water comes out we will know i was wrong

Id guess a couple people there on your other post didnt see that you said 92 Z28, and that means Camaro L98 engine and not Corvette LT1.

Exactly...and while I knew the Z28 pump differs from a C4 Vette pump it just seems a little closer to the vest for you guys, and I really don't want to have to pull this pump after it's all assembled and ready to startup.

I asked my mechanic at work since both of mine are LT1's, he says it's a weep hole.

You know I was thinking about this all last night, after all the advise and all, and I really think it's a weep hole. Anyway, thanks so much for helping. I don't know how many read the fulll thread I linked in the beginning but I actually got some heat for posting in C4. They couldn't understand how anyone would be able to help since most C4 Vettes have aluminum water pumps. I thought it was a good idea, and I got about twenty more replies to a weep hole than I did in C3...
