I managed to find a cluster connector housing, but it doesn't include any pins to push into it -- argh! Does anyone know where I can get a few dozen of those? Thanks!
If you're adventurous you can go to a junk yard and find any GM car (I think 94 and newer) and cut off the red, white and blue ECM (computer) wiring connector ends. They use the same pins but it is a little tedious removing the pins and re-installing them in your connectors.
I know for a fact a 94 Olds 88 uses the same pins because I used some from that car to repair my 86 cluster.
you can ''download'' em from an ecm connector, or the dealer has em for abt o.10 ea
Excellent! Thanks (to all) for the info on the ECM connector, I'll give that a try.
When I asked the dealer, they told me they didn't have any data for the pins, and that they couldn't even order them. If anyone has a part number or something, I'd like to just rub their nose in that, but hopefully I can dig something up (literally?) out at the junkyard.
