Default Keyless entry

I posted last week for keyless entry on my 96 Collector's (bought the car used; no keyless entry fob) and I received some really great info on build codes. Well, I checked my build sheet and its not there!! Kinda puzzled???

I know it was standard on '93's but my friend with a '94 doesn't have one either. I believe it might have been an option for '94-'96. You can buy the fob ($76 at gmpartsdirect.com) and it will work with your car. Every car has the antennas and PKE functions. Some just don't have the fobs.

i sincerely believe it was standard thru '96 ..
when i got my '94, i didn't get a key fob either.. well at least i didn't think i did.. funny, i had a million problems keeping the car locked, i would lock it and the darn thing would be unlocked when i came out later..
2 weeks into owning the car, i found the key fob lost under the driver's seat! the second owner of the car was never given them either and he had pulled the door lock and horn fuses due to "the ghost in the car"
lol.. he only had the car 3 months.. bet he thought it was haunted and wanted to get rid of it!
