1. Alarm goes off for no reason. I have been disconnecting the battery anytime I want to lock the doors. This is not practical but at the same time, I'm unfamiliar with VATS and these "more advanced" c4's.
2. Is the passenger window supposed to have power when the ignition is on "on?" The driver's side window goes down but not the passenger side. I haven't actually started the car and hope it will go down when I drive it tomorrow. It worked two weeks ago when I drove it home.
3. A/C controller is possessed. It won't stay on a specific temp and switches to different modes on its own. Any choice but to buy a new one?
TIA

i know the door alarm switches go bad constantly, the one in my 91 is bad and causes the alarm to go off if i: lock both doors then manually unlock one then close it, try to use my keyless, try to unlock the driver's side with the key, or look at it wrong. i have a link that someone posted for the part, however it is out of stock, and it may not even be your problem, it's just a thought.
as for the other stuff i can check the window thing when i get off work, but im pretty sure its supposed to work when the power is on reguardless of if youre cranked. but im sure someone here will chime in first.
Door button was the problum on my 91 that set the alarm off for no reason. And the windows should work key turned on or off until you open the drivers side door this diconnects the power with key in off position this will also turn off the radio..hope I made sence...
I'm assuming you have the Electronic Air Conditioning controller? If so, turn the ignition key to on, and press the up/down arrows simultaniously, and hold. You will see "00" come up on the display. Then press the button between the two arrows, and a number should appear if there are errors with the system. Give me the code, and I will reference my 91 FSM for the problem, then we can go from there.
Found out it was definitely the door alarm trigger when I was driving down the road today and the Door Ajar light came on and I had to open and close the door a couple times before the light went off and it came back a couple times.
