Default Where'd the torque go?

I have an L-98 that seems to have lost a bit of power below about 2500-300 rpm. If I slowly apply throttle it feels like a cammer motor with secondarys opening up. I even tried a drag start and the car chirped the tires and then kind of died until it got revs and then started pulling hard like normal. I have done a code check and nothing. The plugs, rotor and cap all have less than 4K on them. The fuel filter is brand new and I even tried dry gas in it. I have checked the throttle position sensor and MAP sensor and as far as I can tell they function normally. I need help I'm tired of stabing in the dark. Thanks in advance for the help.

well the beauty of torque is you can get it back with gears, unlike horsepower.. go get some 4.09's!!!

Great idea, but unfortunately not the solution I was looking for. Just think if I got it fixed plus the gears I'd have to fix the seat back :D . By the way what kind of rpm do you turn cruising in 6th with the 409's.

depends what your definition of cruizin is.. :jester
it's around 2k rpm tho.. only a couple hundred rpm higher than the stock 3:45 gears since it's a big overdrive ratio on the 6spd..

Perhaps you should check fuel pressure and test injectors...if it's not an electrical problem then fuel seems the most likely culprit

I know I will generate a lot of dissent, but I use AMZOIL PI fuel treatment regularly. When I first used it I did notice a remarkable improvement in fuel economy and improved performance

Also might want to check your timing and spark plug gap

My injectors have about 10K on them and I haven't checked the fuel pressure yet. Do you think it could be a fuel problem since it runs fine at full throttle? I do run a cleaner through it regularly, normally Valvoline fuel system cleaner.
