I happen to have bought the crappiest shocks in the world about 3 years ago. Now the rubber bushings are blown out. Does anyone recommend a new set of shocks for me?? Not insanely expensive but still a good quality.
Not long after I bought my car about six years ago, I had my factory Biltiens blow a seal and leak oil all over the garage floor on the left rear. At that time I could not afford new Bilsteins, so I went an purchased four new Monroe shocks from Sears. They were like one of the best Monroes that Sears carried at the time, but I'm not sure of which one specifically. They really did a nice job for the price I paid (cheap). I had those shocks on the car just until about six months ago when I replaced them with Bilsteins again. ( I guess I can afford them now ) The only thing I hated about the Monroe's were that they were black!!!
I just put new Bilstein's on mine and am happy. I thought of using the Z51 valved but take to many long road trips. Upgrade from Bilstein, something adjustable perhaps? Koni, QA1? They wouldn't be better, but are adjustable.

Bilstein sports will be a lot stiffer than stock and are set up to match the Z51 suspension. I would recommend Bilstein HD or KYB. Try this.....www.shockwarehouse.com

You priced the adustable Koni's lately??? They ain't in the middle of nothing, unless you throw Penske's in the mix.
Then, both Koni and QA-1's would be "in the middle", the Bilstein would be cheap and the KYB/Monroe/Tokico would be free....
I use the revalved verson of the bilstien that TPIS sells The ride quality is great although I have no idea how my track handling would be now my former bilstine z51's where too harsh for the crapy midwest roads
