My 1984 corvette Z51 really squeeks when you over dips or bumps in the road. All the bushings in the front have been replaced with neopreme bushings, the Z 51 shocks have also been replaced with factory replacements and the springs have also been replaced with in the last year and a half by the last owner. I just want to know if the car is suppose to make such noises or should I be spraying the bushings or something. It sat for about a year before I bought it.
You should have greased the bushings before putting them in.
The 84 Z51, which I have, was the closest Chevy came to putting a race suspension in a road car. So it isn't very forgiving particularly on less than smooth roads. But it sure can take an on ramp.
where exactly is the squeeking coming from?
C4's squeek a lot from many different places
The cars are so stiff, that even with properly working suspension, the rest of the car will still flex and squeeking can come from anywhere.
install a louder stereo system or louder exhaust to remedy the problem
