Paging Jeff Kopp - TCC question
During normal driving, my TCC locks up at 21 MPH. Service Bulletin 84-208 recommends replacing the PROM with P/N 1226938 to increase the speed before lockup. How can I verify if this was done? Is this part still available? Thanks in advance.

You'll have to get a code off your PROM to know for sure which one you have. It will be a series of letters and numbers. When you get them, give me a call and we'll figure it out. -Jeff

Removed the ECM this AM. The PROM has the following alpha-numeric idectification in different locations:
DELCO 519K 8335
3021 06630
CE 1086
DELCO 3940 CDR
Research on the Crossfire Forum leads me to believe this is the original PROM based on the posted TCC lockup speeds.
According to TSB 84-208, the replacement PROM is GM part # 1226938.
Can you help based on this info?

It does appear that you have the orig prom and your P/N for the replacement is correct. They run $33.38 from us if you need help in getting one. -Jeff
