Seems a little low. 275/300 is typical for stock LT1

Mine is a 2.59 automatic LT1 car and pulled 250 RWHP totally stock no catbacks with factory plugs, wires and opti at 110kmiles. I think that your just about right, may be a pinch low if you are M6 and lower gears.

I would like to see stock LT1 A4s pulling 270-280, but in my club I had the highest stock C4 except for a CE LT4. One of the guys in the club regularly organizes Dyno Days and keeps track of all club members cars for them in a database. I need to see if he still has some of that data.

You now have a baseline to work from. Once I get my interior done I want to get a baseline on mine, before I do any mods. And this even includes any oil filter, fuel filter, air filter changes.

I thought it was on the money cause by calculating they say 20% loss with automatic. Thats a average car so I say the vette is 15% loss or so. Am I wrong what is the conversion plus I was on a mustang dyno. They said they have lower numbers compaired to other dynos.

~265 is typical for stock M6. ~250 is typical for stock A4.

Oh, well sh** you need to say that up front.

Most people use dynojets so there aren't many data points to compare you to in that case.

does sound a tad low. i pulled a 265 RWHP back in 2000 when I got mine, stock L98 w/just mufflers. it was done on a mobile mustang dyno at a car show.

of course it depends on the dyno too... they all pull different numbers from one to the next. Also depends if they adjusted in the computer for humidity, altitude, etc.

I just did my LT4 which has 80k miles and I only got 282 rwhp. Not sure of the type of dyno though. I have since done the plugs, cleaned everything and can't wait to get back on the rollers! (my hp seems low to me)

You were at TJWong's right?

People have called the dyno a heart breaker before...and it is a mustang dyno as you later noted.

Tom's a nice guy huh?

First of all, that number is not low at all. If anything, it is high for a mustang dyno and auto LT1.

GIjoe, You pulled 265rwhp out of a stock L98? I am sorry, but that's gotta be

300rwhp for an engine rated at 300hp at the crank?

Yeah, there's a typo in there somewhere.

I've learned to put much confidence in people who claim their stock car has numbers that are much higher than they should be.....Those are the guys with quotes like this

"I have a Porsche 911 with two turbos, one on each side. Out of a 6 cyl. eng. I get 390 hp at the wheels. One of my friends gave me a couple of SpiralMax® units, I had no idea what it was. I said to myself, it wouldn't hurt and put it in. My buddy Ricky said he wanted the first run. He got in, all I saw was the front wheels lifted off about 5 inches and smoke. Later he told me, the car was doing at least 450 to 475hp,that is 20-25% (about 70 hp) increase. "

see testimonials at this link - repost - but it's too funny not too.
