Default ecm problem?

I have 1984 vette one injector would stop working now @ then removed it take to friends shop we tested @ cleaned it put it back in and nothing removed it take back to shop.Can't get it to work. replaced with rebuilt It worked five min and stoped.how do I test ecm? where is it located? and how much do they cost? Any help would be appreciated

You need to make sure you are getting distrubitor ref pulses to the injector connectors. The one injector you are stating could not be getting siginal to fire or getting a intermittant signal. You can check the connector with a test light or noid light while cranking. Also check the fuses. The ECM is under the passenger side dash. You need to remove the hush panel to see it. It is held in with 2, 10mm bolts then it pulls down and you disconnect the connectors to take it completely out. I don't believe you can test it and needs to be taken to a shop that can do so. Not sure on the price.

You need a FSM (factory service manual) to correctly diagnose your problem.

I believe the 84 is batch fired like later C4s, I really doubt it's the ECM.
What I would do is follow the injector pig tail back to where they all connect and make sure the connection is good at that point...and you should be able to swap the connector (pig tail) with another injector to see if it is the injector or just the wiring. My bets on wiring.
