I haven't heard of a gear driven timing set for the LTx engines. The extra noise of the gear drive might play havok on the knock sensors?

I'm running the 95/96 opti and an e. water pump. Which allows me to run a Cloyes double roller timing set. This really makes a nice setup.

The knock sensors pickup the noise causing the
ecm to retard the spark. I'm also running the later type opti and the double roller chain, along with the electric wter pump.

the knock sensors arn't the only problem I have heard that the vibrations from a gear drive will mess up the opti. and no I have never seen a gear drive sys for the 92 or any lt1 In adition 92 and my 93 have a problem that I have not found a full roller timing chain setup. My new timing chain set was just a stornger (and degrable) Lunati set. There wasn't any thing wrong with my timing set but since I had the engine apart for the 383 build I just replaced almost everything
