I have noticed lately when my c4 sits in garage for a few days, I get the odor of gas from it. I also noticed after it sits, the pressure of the gas tank is high--like its not venting. When I remove gas cap, A LOT of pressure comes out even aftre sitting a week. I have been told about vent canister in right rear wheelwell--anybody been down this road before. car is a 94 with 71K LT1--as in the pic.
What does anyone know about fuel vapor canisters? Filters go bad? Unit itself go bad? Cracked lines? I have no apparent leaks--just tons of fumes.

You might want to check your vent lines from the tank all the way to the vapor canister. I had the same problem, I found the vent line that runs from the tank to a little past the rear wheel was rusted closed on the inside.

As the man said
Disconnect the vent line at the tank and the canister in the drv side front and try blowing through the line.
If blocked as stated, start wiith the steel lines where they snake around the rear wheel.
Rust in the lines drops down to the low point and blocks them.
on mine, there is a little rubber hose on the driver's side vent return line to the vapor cannister. It's where they connected the front tubing half of the line to the back tubing half of the line to the tank.
my hose had rotted, and split, opening it to road debris, and it was plugged up.
I used an 1/8 " drill bit, and BY HAND, pulled the crud out of the line by slowly twisting the drill bit, and then upping it to another drill bit that just barely fit in the tube, still twisting the bit by hand untill nothing else came out with the drill flukes.
Then replaced the rubber hose it was maybe 2 inches or 2 and a half inches long
