Default New Best

Went to Cayuga yesterday and had my new best time. But I have come to the conclusion that enough is never enough.
60' 1.807
330 5.140
1/8 7.887
MPH 89.12
1000' 10.272
1/4 12.276
MPH 115.47

I am running a stock converter and D36. I am thinking about a 3000 stall Coan Racing converter but will I start breaking things? I have a stock throttle body and am considering the Edelbrock new intake manifold. Should I go to a 52 or 58MM throttle body or stay stock? My list of mods is in my sig. I am planning on stroking in the future.

Thanks

Fred

Sounds fun. There was some good air yesterday. I think I need heads and a cam too. You're so right about always wanting more. Like Jerry Garcia sang, "...too much of everything is just enough..."

Cheers,

Dave

Looks like you are squeezing everylast bit out of the combo of yours. Fred what rpm are you changing at?

Are you thinking bigger cubes now?

All motor. Believe its the TPIS ZZ9, and a set of AFR heads. Fred can tell you more I am sure. Fred did all the work, and got a tune at autoworx in Toronto. He certainly has a good running car for being a 350.

I have been in the car, and its impressive. Especially with those 3.54's. But the cool thing I think, Is that he still has the stock stall converter.

That's all motor, but let's see now 125 shot and a 10" converter what are the possibilities - maybe high tens!!!!! no I don't like the spray idea.
Mods are 190 AFR TPIS heads, ZZ9 cam should have been at least a 409, EM headers, 1.6 Comp Cam RR's, Nitto DR's(awesome hook) and 3:54 noisy Richmond gears. It was a great day but 3 - 6 speed vettes broke. Saw 3 C5's in the 10's.

Man, whenever I get the chance to install my AFR 190 heads and ZZ9 cam, I'll be running deep in the 12s with a Miniram...

I'm either too lazy or busy...

Your Dana 36 is on borrowed time but you knew that already...higher stall and one good hook is all it will take..heck, you are incredibly lucky it hasn't broken yet...

Great times Fred. I think anything you add will increase tq to that rear and your towing it home. Im in the same boat currently running 12.5 with a 1.800 60' and I have Nittos Drs 2400 stall 3.73. Until a 44 goes in , Im staying status quo with mods. You could go nos and turn it on after you left the line. Sounds like a 44 is your next mod and then a 3200 stall by Vigilanti. (high 11s) here you come!

Nice looking tail lights Fred.
That's what I got to look at all day.

More than just the numbers Fred, your car looks and sounds great.
It's sad to think that it's going in the garage for the winter.
