Thanks Mike for the comments....The entire rear has already gone through a cyro process. My fathers place has a very large, automated system which we sent the unit through about 1 year ago.

The launch from this motor/trans is pretty violent to say the least - and like I said it works so good now the way I have it setup - there is no room for forgiveness. The car launches with about the same 60' times as my fathers 555CI chevelle - and the chevelle twisted off 31 spline strange aftermarket axles, and we had to go with 35spline.

The strength of the current axles I don't think will be enough to hold.......so alternatives need to be examined...

Jesse,

I warned you that the 1.3Xs are NO-NO land! My stuff held together fine until I started dead hooking it! That little bit of wheelspin when I was running low 1.4s was enough not to shock the rear like a hookedup 1.3X does. Check with NL and see what solid rear is going for, sell your good D44 stuff to recover some of the expense and go racing!

Hey Dave....good to hear from you!

Spoke with Leo yesterday for about 1 hour about it....seems like the viable thing to do - now I just need to get the $$ to do it - that always seems to be the snag..

He wanted me to tune a chip for him....gonna tell him the cost is 6500.00 for it, and we can swap the rear for the tune! lol

Would love to see what this thing would do with a solid rear!

WOW! Crazy power. I have a GM 4:56 12 bolt posi in my 74 camaro. I think it cam out of a 69 Chevelle. It's a mean car, but I haven't drivin it in awhile. I'm trying to sell it. I'm getting into this vette. I am going to do what I can to the vette to make reliable with some decent mileage. Guess I'm loosing interest in Drag Racing. Guess I'm getting older, and have some huge medical problems. That changes everything (damn). Best of luck to you...

Edit: I was wondering what your oppinion is on this? See frame #12 http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1542236 Thanks, Man
