Default 86 Brake Question

I've got an 86L 4+3. I assume I do not have anti-lock brakes, correct? I do not have a RPO #JL9 (Brakes, Anti-lock Front and Rear Disc) listed under the console cover.
Thanks

1986 marked the model year that Corvette introduced front and rear anti-lock disc brakes and I believe they were standard equipment on all models. On the sticker of my '86, anti-lock brakes are listed with all the other standard features and don't have an RPO code.

The reason I ask, I need to know if I ordered the correct DRM bias spring for my C4-C5 brake upgrade. They listed a spring for 84-86 (non-ABS) and one for 87> (with ABS).

My '86 does not have the option code, but it does have abs. Does your car go "grrrrrr" at 4 mph backing out of the driveway? If it does, you have abs. benny

It makes the noise allright. I've ordered the bias spring for an ABS car and should be OK.

You can also be sure you have ABS if you have a cable attached to the inner front knuckle behind the wheel bearing which utilizes the gear teeth on the bearing as a speed sensor. See the yellow circle in the picture.

OK - I'll point out the obvious... The ABS unit lives in the storage area behind the drivers side seat. It's pretty obvious if it's present or not
