on my 94 vette sometimes it will want to die if sitting at a light or a stop sign it starts running very rough and acts like it is not getting fire, also the voltage gauge drops but this may be due to the rpms dropping to like 500 rpm. once i get moving again it clears up and runs fine and i can not duplicate the problem it is like the ghost in the machine also it has 83 thousand miles on it and it is a automatic, any ideas would be of great help. thanks
also no check engine light i am going to try a fuel filter first and then go from there it could be the fuel pump as i have not tested the fuel pressure at the schradder valve.

My 92 was doing that and eventually died on the way home one day. A friend of mine suggested replacing the coil, once I changed it she started right up.
Use the FSM and try to track down the problem before throwing hundreds of dollars at it.
i was also thinking of the idle air control it is hard to say at this point but a coil is cheap and the car has 80 thousand miles on it will not hurt it to have it replaced as well as a opti and water pump and a good tune up
it is time for plugs and wire i have been putting off because i want to a water pump and opti at the same time which brings me to doing a cam and getting the heads done while it is torn apart
