N2O opinions
I'm seriously considering adding a small shot of the juice (50-75hp) to my mod'd 86 vette for an import VS domestic event next May ( www.wingedwarrior.net ).
my question is:
would the throttle body kit (NOS 05151 rated for 100-150hp) be de-tunable to 50-75hp and would that be a good idea in the first place?
OR would a universal single nozzle kit (rated for 75hp) be a better idea?
I can fab up a mounting point for the single nozzle (in front of the TB) easy enough so either kit is ok by me installation wise.
motor is 406ci miniram, 6" rods, all forged, 11 to 1 compression solid roller cam (246 dur), brodix, headers ect.
shop that helped build it recommended not going over 75hp shot due to the thinner rings (longer rod, ring groove closer to the top) just to be safe.
and yes its fast, just want to add some MPH in the 1/4 mile since that part of competition is for trap speed not time.

I know a couple people who have lost motors and blamed it on the poor distribution of a nitrous plate bewteen the TB and intake. Whether that's actually the reason the motor let go or not I don't know, but with the nozzle a bit further away from the intake the N20/fuel mix would probably have a better chance of hitting all the cylinders equally.
Good luck, report back and let us know how you do!
