Shocks again!!
I know that I have read about shocks a million times in this forum, now I need a set. I understand that Bilstien appears to be the favored brand...at around $300 from Mid-America. I use my 86 strictly as a driver, 60 miles each way on southern California freeways. I only get into it once in a great while. I have been looking at those $139/four advertised as specially valved for a nice ride in Corvette Central. Anyone have any experience or thoughts?

C4C5Specialist thinks Bilsteins have the best balance... That's His take. I currently have KYB's in...and they're coming out for Koni Red's. I want SLOT CAR handling! The other shocks are fine though.

I thought about getting those myself. I ended up buying the Gabrials ($19.95 each) from auto zone. They are black and have what they call vst valving. Supposed to be smothe when not under a load and stiffen up when driven hard. I wonder if this is the same shock as the ones you are talking about, but have been repackaged? By the way, I replaced the orig. delco- bilstiens with 91000 miles on them. I noticed it does ride a little better on the highway and it eliminated a slight shake I had at about 60mph in the steering wheel. I dont push the car hard in turns etc. so I have not noticed a loss in handling.
