I had to have my 96 smogged a few days ago. When they put it on the dyno to do the test at 15 and 25 mph, the rear of the car was bouncing a bit. (I was suprised at how much) Is this normal. I have a vibration in the rear from 65 to 80 (minor) that no one has been able to isolate. Are the two related?
I've had mine on a dyno up to 135mph. It didn't bounce a bit. I'd start by checking the balance of the wheels and tires first (maybe you threw a weight), then check your shocks and the rest of the rear end. Something doesn't sound right. :nonod:

Likewise.. i had mine dynoed to around 135 and no bouncing or weird vibrations... when driving, the road seems smoother and the engine quieter above 100 :D
We're stuck with E-Check in Ohio. But they did my Vette and I saw no vibrations at all. If you saw something at such a low speed you really have a problem! Just think how much that's vibrating at 65 to 80 MPH when you do feel it!!! YIKES!!! Rim? Balance? Bad tire? Gotta be something.
This vibration I speak of has been there since I bought the car. I have changed tires and rims with no effect (I mean none) to the characteristics of the vibration. I think what I saw on the smog dyno might have been related to the dyno itself.
