I posted this in the general section with no luck. My 89 will be going into an enclosed car hauler for an extended road trip. Was curious if there was anything that was C4 specific in securing the car to the tie downs that's not like any other car. Want to make sure I avoid any unecessary damage during the trip.
The factory tie down loops are what we use. They look like elongated holes that attach to the frame in the front and back. Us and many other c4 drivers have been doing it for some time with no issues.
when i transport my vette i never use the frame ,i was told to strap it down threw the rims or around the tires .this way the suspension can still move up and down over bumps.i remember volkswagan had problems with a lot of new jettas that came to canada because they would wear the tires or drive like crap after a while they found out when they transported them from the factory the tied them down so hard the bent the frame ,i dont want to take that risk on my vette
