For a 24mm rear bar, roughly 14" from the centerline of the
transverse portion of the bar to the c/l of the hole for the
attachment link.

This was a quickie, leaning-over-other-stuff-with-the-tape
in-cold-storage kind of measurement. Is it precise enough?

That's what I was looking for. My C4 is in storage, and I have a Cobra Kitcar with C$ suspension. The rear bar has some cut out of the legs, but I didn't know how much. The eye of the bar is rearward of the endlink...and I want to get new bars made. Thanks for the help.

Since you are having parts made on the basis of this, hold off and I
recheck, then post tonight.

Are you saying that your bar is oriented so that the lever arms point
rearward (opposite to the C4) or are you saying that the modified
arms have the hole placed in the wrong position and thus the end-links
are not vertical when everything is assembled?

No doubt you know that moving the hole for the link alters the
lever arm length and thus the effective rate of the swaybar.

The endlinks are not veritcal but angled rearward. They cut the bar too short. I don't need another measurement, I just wanted a rough idea of what the heck they did. My arms are about 10" long. When I get the car in the air, I'll be about to get an exact measurement and go from there.

Thanks for letting me know there's no need to head out to
the shed again.

Who is going to fabricate the sway bar for you? Will it be built
from scratch or will an existing bar be modified?

I recall reading about an outfit that produces custom bars to
order and would try to look them up if it could help out?

The custom sway bar outfit was Saner Performance Fabrication in FL.

They used to have a website at http://www.sanerperffab.com
but this site now appears to be a portal to generic rubbish.

Thanks, I really haven't decided on a plan of attack yet. I might just have a stock bar cut down, except not as short as what's on there now, then I want to use heim jointed end links. So will have to wait and see what happens
