Default bad injectors

I have a new exhaust and cat changed plus wires cap rotor, filters, new fuel pump. Now it is down to the injectors i think. I tested them for resistance and 4 are 12-13 and 4 are 15-16. Are these bad. I have a loss of power at WOT and it just bogs but runs fine otherwise. If its not the injectors what else could it be. Should I test to see if they are geting voltage? How would i do this? Any help is greatly appreciated. If I do need Injectors, do i stay with the 22lb or can I change them?

Thanks

Tim

The injectors are bad, they should be 16.5, +/- .3 according to the GM service bulletin. That is normal, I just replaced all of mine on my 91. I would stick with stock 22 lb. units, anything else is overkill on a stock car....

They all should read around 16-17 ohms each. I would say there are 4 that have a problem...not bad but probably bad enough to be changed.

Have you checked fuel pressure at WOT? A difference in injector coil resistance could be a factor. Did you test the injector coils hot and cold?

Up to you. Use a noid light or a test light on the harness wires while the engine is running. All should light up with the same intensity.

You have the high failure rate/unservicable Multec injectors (89-91). I would replace all with the same brand/# rating after you have made sure they are the cause of the "bogs down".

I respectfully disagree, as I stated above, the tech bulletin clearly states on Rochester Products Multitechs, that they should be 16.5, +/- .3

Really though, it's a moot point, because if your going to tear it down, replace all eight.............

All of mine on my 95 LT1 are at 13.5 ohms +/- .3 ohms. Are they considered marginal, good or bad?

That's why I stated....

And as you stated above is what I followed with.

Those numbers are good. The LT1 injectors ohm lower (~13).

tm2k: The fuel injectors in question are GM Multecs and these were used in L98 engines during the years 1989 through 1991. You appear to have a LT1 engine and you will not Multec injectors.
