What was the $14 kit for the exhaust air pipe after you cut it ? Rubber hose and clamps or ?

(I was gonna reply to the original Q, but had to go into work!)

I used a brass tubing connector - the kind with compression fittings (union?). The tube on my '86 is 1/2"; so I just cut it with a tubing cutter, installed this brass connector thingy on each end. Now the tube is quick detachable, and rust resistant.
