Default GM Rear End Additive part #??

I have the 1995 Dana 36.

Does anyone have the GM part # so I can get the correct additive?

Thanks

Default additive

This is from a bottle I had hanging around from years ago, so I dont know if the number has been superceeded but here it is. I have a 87 with a Dana 44 but the guy at the chevy dealer said the same number came up for all C4 corvettes.

If you're going through the dealer, they'll know exactly what the limited slip additive is. I'm pretty sure it's all the same. GM part # is 1052358

last time I bought through dealer it was 8oz bottles - like said ask for limited slip additive at any gm parts counter.

if you say rear end additive you might end up with preperation h in the tube

It is the same for all GM cars, but some dealers are clueless. When I needed some a couple years ago, I went to the nearest dealer and asked for LS additive, and he said he needed a part number. Couldn't/wouldn't even look it up by make/model.

Next time I was out, with the part #, stopped at another dealer, and as soon as the words "limited slip" were out of my mouth he headed around back to get some. He said he didn't need a part # because there is only one LS additive.

I don't go back to the first dealer...

Guys... just go to NAPA. TransX or some company makes the same stuff - it even has the GM spec right on the bottle. It also comes in a 10 or 12 oz bottle (IIRC) and is MUCH cheaper than the same stuff at the dealership
