In the most recent issue of CF there is a company with an HID kit for the C5 as well as the c4. Has anyone purchased and installed this kit? Has is the quality of the parts and of the lighting?
the ones for the C5 are $1300..... Get some silverstars and call it a day heh.
Trouble is, Silverstars don't seem to last very long. I've had two sets in another car.
First set lasted about 1.5 years; per Osram/Sylvania email, don't expect more in second set. Not much night or rain driving either. For $20 to $35 per set of two, that's not a good deal if you ask me.
I like the color and output, but not the lifespan or dollars. Won't be buying them again.

I've had Silverstars in my DD for like 3 years, no problems at all.
Maybe I'm lucky, I've read that they don't last from a lot of people here.
I currently use xenon with clear lamp casings. Much cheaper and no problems yet. I have heard that they don't last long. So far so good. I believe they are guaranteed for life.
I've had Cibie and the brightest H4 bulb I could get back then in out 87' from day one never have had a problem since then. Only have to remeber to dim your lights sooner. wro87
