Nitrous questions
2. It gets pretty hot in the car in the sun, will this cause any problems with the bottle getting too warm?
3. Is a purge really necessary?

3. Is a purge really necessary?
2) yes (keeping the shade pulled helps a lot, as does tinted glass)
3) yes (for the best hit and "intimidation/showoff factor")

2. Make sure your Nitrous bottle blowoff valve is vented outside the car just in case.
3. It really depends on how much nitrous jetting you are running. The reason I say this is because if you are running a 150 kit or larger without a purge you will go rich instantly creating an bog until the nitrous actually hits the engine. If you are looking to get the most out of your setup it is money very will spent.

Except I personally feel like running rich without a purge and bogging is the least of the worries. With any TPI plate or pre-throttle body wet kit a purge kit can also save a BIG BOOM. When spraying without purging the improperly atomized raw fuel without nitrous you'll be spraying while the air clears out of the nitrous line until the nitrious hits can puddle in the plenum. Now, what happens when a spark occures while a valve is open and a puddle of raw gas is near by?? Use your imagination!
It aint purty! The fuel is far less likely to puddle when evenly matched with N20. I think a purge is a safety neccesity with pre throttle body TPI and plate wet kits. Obviously its not at all an issue with a dry kit.
