Default Any tips or tricks?

Hey guys I'm gonna be installing my Procharger this week are there any tips or tricks you want to share with me to help make this easier? It is the P600b going on an 87 L-98. Any thoughts would be welcome.
Thanks

Well no help there how about the oil pan mod. What is the best way to put the hole in the pan for the oil return?

There are two options:
1) The more popular (but not my choice) is to use a drill and put a small (~1/4" hole in the pan) and then use a punch/drift to slowly increase the size. This allows the pan to roll inward and give the fitting something to "bite" when you tap the hole. Unfortunately, even if you use grease to catch the shavings / burrs, there may still be some that make it into the pan. Additionally, you need to return the oil not into the reciprocating assy, not into a main cap, and not below the static oil level. That leads to option 2.
2) Pull the pan, and then proceed to follow the instructions. There will be no shavings, no blind drilling, and no lying upside down to do the work.

I hope this helps.

That does help in the manual they talk about the punch idea but that didn't sit real well with me. I have access to a lift but do I need to lift the motor to pull the pan? If I remove the two braces that run from the cross member to the frame will that give me clearance to drop the pan?

No lift necessary, if you are comfortable with droppoing the pan while on your back. Some cars require pulling the cradle corner braces, others do not. I can drop mine without pulling the braces. Check to see if you can do it with the tools that you have.

Most cars do not require lifting the engine from the mounts.

I went to a canton pan w/ a fitting. problem solved. Yes, I replaced the pan w/out jacking the motor but did pull my K brace. The whole job was a pita due to headers, starter, flywheel shield, & pan kickouts jigsaw puzzle.

By the way, if you happen to have a 2 piece seal block w/ right side dipstick I have a spare canton pan I bought off ebay. Bad deal as I needed 1 piece seal pan...
