Mine came with eliminators on it, and I am in the process of finding some mufflers. While the eliminators are a hoot in small doses, driving ~30 miles to work the racket gets old.
Let me know if the deal falls through. I have Flows and would like eliminators. Saves me the hassle of selling the mufflers. I'll do as free even exchange.
Go ahead 86 Pacer, I think I'm going to put the Flowmasters on my wifes 91' ZF6. I did the eliminators today and they sound great, plus the shop only charged me $65!
I decided to go with the eliminators and had a local shop do the job. They only charged me $65! Sounds really good to me. Just a little louder than the stock set up on my 02' Z06. I'll be using my 96' for track days so the sound is what I was looking for. I'm either going to put the Flowmasters on my wife's 91' coupe or just hold on to them just in case I want to try them on mine.
I appreciate everyones input, makes for an interesting post. Keep chiming in
Sounds like a good plan to me. Eliminators obviously are not for everyone and sound different on the different year model C4s, but I like mine. Around town or on the road trips they sound good to me.
What track to you run at? Looks like you are sorta SW GA, I am sorta NE GA. Shame we aren't closer.

Yes, I already know what they sound like. I've heard several in person including CentralCoaster's '85 and even took a ride. I like the sound. The vettes I heard had stock exhaust manifolds, and I have long tubes. My flowmasters sound pretty good too, but they are not loud all the time. Only on acceleration. I want loud all the time. I'm going to my local exhaust shop of choice, pick out the tips, and have it done. I'll use clamps and not weld it to the rear y incase I need or want to change back in the future. I'll hold on to the flows for a while. Everyone has a different choice for sound. I like the eliminator sounds pesonally.

I did my first track day at Roebling Road last week. I'm hooked! I had been autocrossing but I like the seat time you get with a track event. I can't wait until the next one.
Yes I'm in SW GA, about 3 hours from Atlanta and 3 1/2 to Savannah.
I'm looking forward to running my car at Road Atlanta next year. Are you doing any track days?

That's me at Road Atlanta during the '05 WERA GNF in my avatar pic. Never done it in a car, though.
I take it you've never listened to Nathan Plemons LT1 - with flowmasters? That is one of the meanest sounding Vettes I've ever heard.
The sound of the muffs is really determined by the motor. How much compression you have and valve timing of the cam makes all the difference in the world. On a real cold morning my flows rattle my kitchen windows and my motor is pretty mild, for now.

A friend of mine used to race road bikes. He's given that up for track days in his modded C6. I think he took a few to many spills and decided to go over to the cars. Do you ever run at Roebling? I ran on the new surface last week. I was told it is a lot better since the repaving.

I will really have to get really beat up to give up the bikes.
I am looking forward to the new tarmac at Roebling. Guys that have ridden it say it's super nice.
Here is mine with a Flowmaster system and Hot Cam and a few extra cubes. http://media.putfile.com/11-second-Vette
Its all about how much air you pass through the mufflers which determines the sound. Stock engines wont sound much different till you hit it to WOT, IMHO
I just had a set of Flowmasters installed on my 95 vette and the sound is very agressive to me, nice deep throaty
rumble to it, has some resonance problems though.
