ZF 6 gets hot, is this normal??
I have a 94 Vette with a black tag ZF6.
Is it normal that after driving for a while the transmission gets really hot, you can feel the temperature in the console and sometimes in the shifter.

I'd say yes. I've felt the heat from mine, and many other types of man trans in the past. Now, we're not talking burning hot here, but hot is hot and relative. I've had chrome stalks that are difficult to touch after driving a while and in the summer.

Sounds like it's okay. Be sure to check your fluids. Remember, you've got two very large cats right by the trans.
