clear tail lamps??
I'm interested in getting a set of clear tail lamps for my 95... Haven't seen a C4 with them installed though.
1) Does anyone have any pictures?
2) Who are some manufacturers of clear tail lamp/lenses?

Zelement has them. I think he knows a source.
To see how it would look like just remove the red covers and squint your eyes. I know it sounds stupid :yesnod:, but that's how they look like but not as blurry:D.

be careful.....in AZ, clear taillights are illegal unless they have a red reflector in them, i talked to a DPS officer friend of mine, we got on the subject of hiperwhite bulbs and this led to clear taillights. if the brake lights are off, and the light does not show red anywhere, this is illegal.....i can ask for the "letter of the law if this is that important?" so i advise checking local law first.

Im not sure how it would look, Im not one for the clear tailight look (unless your car comes from the factory that way ie. Lexus IS300) I know a corvette is not rice but I think that adding clear lights may be a little on the Fast and Furiour wanna be side. On a serious note pick up a "Import Tuner" magazine there are a ton of vendors that sell the clear tail lights, marker lights and hyperwhite bulbs. It may be able to steer you in the right direction.

I don't remember the member's name, but he had a yellow conv. with clear lenses that had the Chevy Bowtie :chevy in the center. I really liked it!!. I'd put these on anyday before I'd put on the tacky looking louvers or black-out stuff on my tail.

Don't get me wrong folks, I'm no fan of ricing out a domestic ride.. I don't sport ANY decals of ANY sort and have no intentions of putting on a shopping cart wing on car or coffee can exhaust tips.. I just really dig the way the Lexus IS300 looks and would consider putting some on my Vette if it looked OK.. That's why I'd really like to see some pics... Zelement?? Got some photos for everyone?

Sorry guys, I don't have any picture of my car, and it is in the shop right now getting the new motor so I won't have any pictures anytime soon. I don't have clear tail lights. What I did was buy the clear light and painted the refectors red and tinted the rest. So it has red and clear tint, kind of hard to explain but I think it looks trick. I also installed LED bulbs so it is much brighter.

Just got back from that rice-boy page. Whew. Um- I'm not one for the clear tail lights, I really like the bold red when the tail lights light up. I'm sure there are clear lenses available- wouldn't know where. Maybe in the import mags at Barney Nobles-you could get the web site addresses from their advertisements, and write them down, that way you can search the web sites, without buying the magazine (that you would otherwise have no use for). I think that with so many imports doing this, it sorta takes away from the individuality of this sort of thing.
