Has anyone put 17X11 wheels on the rear of a vert? I want to know if the tires will stick out past the fenders,

 

Depends on the wheel and year. 88 up with standard ZR-1 spacing about1/2 inch. 87 down should just fit.

What about the C6 18X10.5?

 

Even if you use the Grand Sport 11x17 wheels with the 50mm offset, they will stick out some. The GS used rear fender flares to keep spray from going straight up in wet weather. Depending on the stiffness of your springs and shocks, you mayl get some tire rubbing against the top of the wheelwell.

The ZR-1 11x17 wheels have a 36mm offset and will stick out a good 1.5". The ZR-1 body was 3" wider at the rear than the standard C4 coupe or 'vert.

 

The 50mm offset doesn't stick out too much, maybe 1/4 inch on my car anyway.

Who makes the wheels and what is the offset? They don't appear to stick out. Any rubbing problems?

 

u need 36mm offset or ZR1 offset both are same, buy from ebay from AFS or call Tomzwheels (forum vendor), search "corvette 84-87" in wheels and Tire section on ebay.

 

I just bought the AFS ZR1 17x11 on Ebay. They look real nice and I got them in two days. They were $395.00 I haven't installed them yet. The wheels do not have any spacer or offset so I don't know if they will stick out too much. If they do I'll put the Grand Sport wheel flares on.

 

I bought them off of Ebay about Three years ago from AFS. They do stick out about a 1/4 inch but not bad.

No rubbing problems at all.
