I know everyone has there preference but I have a '93 with a LT1 basicly stock. I plan to increase the throttle body size and open the exhaust (less restriction) what is the best chip and what can I realisticly gain? I am a superchip claims 30 hp and 40 torque increase, is that believeable? thanks

 

The best chip you can get is from PCMForLess. Call them up, tell them what you've done to the motor, and they will hook you up with a custom chip for it that will make it run better than ever.

IMHO 30-40 is not believable for just a chip, especially one that isn't custom tuned for your car. Now, with exhaust and a few other mods followed by a custom tune 30 MAY be possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath. If you are planning on doing exhaust work, look into long-tube headers. They really open up the engine's potential (and they just sound awesome).

 

I dont know about that, youd be far better off getting a custom tune done. Those claims are generalized and the chip wont be an exact match for your vehicle. (it will work, but improvments can certainly be made)

 

I personally recommend going with Jesse from www.azzatochips.com he tuned my 10 sec car and many of the fasts vetts on this forum . His service is one of the best I’ve experienced. When I got my car tuned by him I had the chip back with in 48 hours and the air/fuel ratio was right on, plus you can always send him the chip back to when you upgrade to a more radical setup and he would change it over for no cost, you get a life time service for on low cost.. You can’t go wrong
