Default Name That Part! 2!!

Hey guys, I took my intake bellows off for the first time today to clean the MAF, I noticed something when taking it iff that I dunno wtf it is. Its a small white tube connected to what looks to be vacuum hose, that runs to the front of the engine, above the crank pully. What is it, Where does it go, and is it supposed to have vacuum going through it?

Here is a pic...just picture it as an LT4....and in a corvette...with straight bellows...you get it.

Default Name That Part

There was a fix for the earlier optispark distibutors to reduce moisture build-up from condensation in the distributor....the later ones came with a vacuum hook-up from the General . Yours appears to be the quick fix kit. Basically helps to draw air through to remove any excess moisture from the distributor also acts as a vent to allow bleed-off of any pressure building inside which would tend to cause oil leaks from the drive seal.
