my 92 was being put away for storage, car running down road started missing/sputtering,etc, then died. now car wont start.. had a running rough problem intermittently past few times driving. sometimes ran fine. i had to hold pedal to floor to get it to start back up before. now that wont work. you can smell fuel while turning over. friend put a plug on one wire off of engine to see if spark. theres spark. he even sprayed either in tb. still wouldnt fire up at all. any help in right direction/startingpoint will be greatly appreciated. i need to get car put away for winter thanx guys....
You have the symptoms of a too rich mixture to start and run. Measure the fuel pressure, then with pressure, turn off the ignition and see how long the fuel pressure holds. If it drops rapidly, then you have one or more leaky injectors. Remove the flexible horn going to the MAF and try a start, you may have a clogged air filter. Holding the pedal to the floor while cranking shuts off the injectors to allow clearing the cylinders, but if your injectors are leaking, this won't work. Pull a spark plug and see if it is wet with gasoline, another sign of leaky injector/s.

I just had this problem...thought it was leaking injectors too...then I noticed that there was a puff of vapor around the injectors...this was after I had chased almost everything suggested here on the forum....pulled the injectors, to change the o-rings..while the injectors were out, I decided to pulse the injectors to see which were leaking, because it wouldn't hold pressure for very long.....surprise!!! no leaks!! pressured up the injectors several times, but no leaking injectors...had a BRAND NEW fuel pump, and had done away with the pulsator, so, no leaks there either...still haven't figured out where all the pressure was going, but it sure wasn't out the injectors...so check around your o-rings, to make sure they are sealing..you may have the same problem....changed the o-rings, and she fired right up......
