Default Running really rich.

Hey. I bought my 87 heavily modded (heads/cam big mouth intake, etc). My only problem with the car is that it runs really rich. It had a supercharger on it at one point and that's probably why its set up this way. Anyway, what's the best place to start to set back the air/fuel mixture?

I'll bet the computer has a custom prom in it.. you'll need to either obtain a stock one or find someone to burn you one with the same program, just a little modified to reduce fuel.

First what size injectors are on it and whats the fuel press set at? Then you'll have to look at the prom program to change things. As far as running rich- is this based on exhaust smoke? a scan of the car? Reason for asking the last is the ecm should compensate (up to a point) in part throttle/closed loop operation, but if scanned it would show your blm's real low (below 128). Give us some more info???? Another thought- if it was SC-does it still have a MAF? Or was it converted to speed density?
