Just got new tires the guy that put them on said to run 50 pounds of pressure in them 285 40 17 Is this right?

35 Psi! 50 would cause them to wear out fast so he could sell you more.

That's what I thought They sure were easy the spin @ 50psi though

Geez...it should say on the tire that 44 lbs. is the max pressure...seems to me like pure incompetance for him to tell you this...I run 32 in mine and have for years with excellent results all around...
