LT4 oil change?
How many quarts, and which filter do you all prefer?
That's it for now. :D

5 Quarts Mobil 1 with a Fram Duraguard oil filter. The previous owner used the AC Delco but I have always had good luck with the Fram oil filters.

4.5 qts only brings the level halfway up the hatched mark on the dipstick, for me. I put in about 4.75-5qts.
Filter: AC Ultraguard, though I've also used the Duraguard and Purolator Pure One.

Try as you might, you won't get a full 5 quarts in an LT4. Mine takes a touch more than 4-1/2 quarts to fill with a new filter.
I run Mobil 1 10W-30, which I think is better for hotter climates and competition, but 5W-30 is probably the best all around choice. I try to change oil & filter every 2500 miles. Many will say that is excessive with modern synthetic oils but I consider it cheap insurance.
Personally, I don't think there is that much differenc between all the high performance oil filters out there. The specific brand isn't as important as frequent changes, IMHO. I do NOT recommend the toilet paper adapters, however. :D
