Default Brakes 96LT4 help

Bought new rotors and ceramic pads all from one supplier, fronts, backs etc but having a problem. Fronts went on beautiful and work great. The emergency brake cable as to the rears is not the issue, its slack and disconnected, the pads when you drop them in carrier and try to shut the piston assembly is a fraction to tight so the pads act like there to big. THE PADS ARE THE SAME LOOKING FOR INBOARD AND OUTBOARD IS THAT CORRECT. Thought the pads were different and not the same. The ones I took out are slightly skinner on the steel where the pad is glued on and one has a tang for low brake pad where my new ones dont. I can live without that. Also I have compressed the piston all the way to the emergency brake linkage assembly with a C clamp unless I can adjust the emergency brake on the actuator to let me compress the piston a fraction more I am not sure if I should go find some pads that are not as thick????The spring for emergency brake I is still on the piston assemble as I saw no need to removeit. Any ideas is much appreciated.

the fronts are #412
the rears are #413
make sure you have the right pad.

also, the rear pads have nubs on the backing plate.
I'll look tonight, as I have mine taken apart now.

the little springy thing on the backing plate should not stick through the caliper.

Larry thanks for the responce...supposely they sentme 413sfor the rears. I had to get the car back on the road so I went to Kragen and they ordered Reybesto ceramic's for the rears and got them the same day. |$88.00 I could see immediately they were going to work as they were thinner than what was sent to me and the brake tang was also on the Raybesto's. They went on like a gang busters and run out with new rotors just great no noise and smooth. My old GM rotors were warped from the previous owner. Wow I took out the front seat to get at the emergency brake to get slack to undo the rears what a Pain. I think I could have left the emergency brake in place in the off position as there was slack to undo the flange that holds the cable to the rear piston housing. I never could figure out how to get slack in the emerg brake per the repair manuel so I just unbolted it, Thanks again Larry R1Concepts sent me the wrong rear pads? They say their shipping me new ones but did not have my pads at their desk so not sure if I amgetting another set of the same. Will send them back with a letter |"there is no way these rears fit in any 96 Corvette.
