Had a problem with courtesy lights staying on and solved that problem through this forum-Thanks Guys!! Now the power door locks don,t work. When I hit either button, I can hear a soft clicking noise coming from somewhere in the center of the dash area, but nothing happens at the locks. The circuit breaker in the fuse panel is also VERY hot, and the battery is going dead. Apparently something is stuck, but I unplugged the actuators and no change. Any suggestions?

What was the fix for the courtesy light? It could be related.
Either door lock switch stuck in either unlocked or locked mode will cause the courtesy lights to stay on and pull continuous current through the 30A fuse.
A door lock relay stuck closed will cause a continuous current draw as well, but without the lights.
Both circumstances are causing your door lock motors to stay energized 100% of the time which will cook them.
Your door lock relay is behind the dash, behind the guage switch panel. It pressed in sideways with one plastic clip into a bracket from the right and has a 5-pin plug going in from underneath. Unplug it and turn the key on. Check for 12V at pin A (small black wire) and Pin F (light blue), if either have 12V then a door lock switch is stuck. They are about $3 each from rockauto.com. If not 12V, then the door lock relay is most likely the problem.

The courtesy light problem was in the delay control. The lights now operate properly. Nobody I talked to had a clue as to where it could be or what it looked like until I joined this forum. I will check the relay tomorrow. It seems like the relay location is where I am hearing the clicking noise. Thanks!!
Just finished the install of the new relay-Door locks work great! Not only do they now work, they seem to operate much better and faster. Since I found this forum, I love my Corvette even more!!!!!! Ooops-they quit working again. I left the relay unplugged all day and when I got home from work, I checked the circuit breaker and it was again VERY hot. I guess it wasn't the relay. Any other suggestions?

I'm no genius, but I did pull this info out of the Helm manual wiring diagram. I would recommend buying the manual (~$60) if you plan on keeping the car for awhile, its invaluable.
I have a manual ordered but have not received it yet. Stupid door locks quit working again after I got everything back together. Doing the same thing it was.
