Anyone Try This???
I just got back in from trying to relocate my programmed chip. I ran a ribbon cable 3' out of the computer to where I then attached the chip. The car started, but the SES light was on and the car was missing pretty bad. I have to double check the connections on the wires. It was a long day and not a good time to trouble shoot. I wouldn't think that the signal would be delayed that much but you never know. I just hate taking the computer down out of the "glove compartment" every time I decide to tune. Any one else with suggestions or solutions. I know I am not the only one bothered by this. Thanks.

You ran the cable from where the carrier plugs in??? A couple people on diy-prom section of thirdgen.org also tried it-with shielding, sheilded wire and several diff. types of wire. It looked like it's not gonna work. The next best that they figured out was to get another harness from a boneyard and cut it up to relocate the whole ecm under the passenger seat. Then just slide the seat forward for access. So far I just leave the ecm on the floor-and keep reminding my wife not to spill a soda on it! :D

Re: Anyone Try This??? (drive it)
I found out what the problem is. The pins were not matching up(I don't know how to explain the situation). I have my electrician working on it right now. He will figure out a way and once I get it done I will let you all know how to do it. Later.
