Default Cold air to filter ?

I purchased the SLP 'claw' injection (comes with three cone filters). I bought it mainly for looks and sound. I realize wont get much added HP from it. I was wondering if anyone has attempted to pull in fresh air from below to air filter(s) by way of manually installing a flexible type hose (like dryer vent hosing or something smaller in diameter) and if so, how it would be routed. I was thinking somehow having it protrude into the front grille opening (I have a BMAD) and then routing it up to one side of the filter setup..... Thoughts??

PS,. have a happy and safe holiday...

If that "claw" lays on top of the radiator shroud, you could cut a hole in the shroud under the claw filters and put a "box" over the filters.

This would get you both cooler air and ram air as the intake would then be drawing air from the stream flowing to the radiator.

I put the front plate A/O scoop in but not the full kit. I cut a hole behind the plate that goes up to the air filter, then bent my cut lid into a scoop for the air. A tube could be added to, that's what the full kit comes with. I did not want to reduce the radiators cooling at all. With air going out of the shroud, there would be less pressure to force air through the radiator. Right?

That may be true though there may be sufficient pressure that there would still be no noticible effect on cooling.

There are some commercial ram/cold air units that draw air from that area that people seem to be very satisfied with.

Only thing you have to do is cut holes in the shroud to allow air to flow, the suction of the intake will do the rest. If you could fab a box and rivet it to the inner shroud, that might work to seal it off and keep air flowing to the radiator better.
