My vote is that increasing the capacity of the exhaust
system will help your engine combination produce more power.

To test, you might try measuring back pressure in the existing
system. If there turns out to be more than 2-3" HG under load,
this would suggest that changes will help.

alx, just curious. What bore and stroke are you using to get 377ci?

My view is that you can check back pressure anywhere along
the length of the system before the mufflers.

Have you seen some of the threads here where members have posted
images of their systems?

A popular addition is an X-pipe. I do not know whether he still offers
them, but 'tjwong' had a nice custom X-pipe assembly based on a
DrGas unit.

Where are you located - what access do you have to exhaust
parts and exhaust fabrication?

The Corsa system is well regarded because it does not
drone the way that other systems can. There is a Group Buy
available now that may make the system even more attractive.

Corsa Exhaust Group Purchase!

While the Corsa is 2-1/2", read the following comment from the thread above

Went to a Corsa system for my sanity and experienced NO loss of
H/P. The exchange was recommended by a very experienced tuner. I
was shocked and very happy with the results.

Not sure if it's how he did it, but a 400 SBC crank (3.75" stroke) in a 350 block with standard bore yields 377ci. The only other way would be a huge overbore.

Another way to get a 377 is to drop a 350 crank in a 400 block. You may need bearing spacers as Im pretty sure the main sizes are different ..There may be custom cranks out that eliminate the need for them but I havent checked in ages. Big bore, short stroke.

I think
